if we are stripping the voters of the ability to watch the games and vote purely on metrics then why would we not use computers?
We aren't stripping anyone the right to watch the game. We are stripping them of their right to be bias and not see past someone's name when voting.

Also computers can't work without factoring in previous years. Every year should be determined on the field that year no matter who did what the year before. Bama is where they are purely because other years and not this one. That's unfair to teams that actually play teams and may lose once while Bama plays easy teams just to make the playoff. It's why they were so hyped last year and look what happened when they played someone.

Sports that play in divisions that bracket into playoffs never have teams left out or teams with any argument that they should be number one if they didn't win.

How exactly do you propose to allow the committee to watch games without allowing them to know what teams they are watching? are you saying blinding all the metrics and then watching the games? you can't make use of the game viewing concurrently with the metrics unless you know which metrics belong to which game viewed performance.
