I apologize to Hogwarts for derailing this thread but I'll add one more thing.

Bielema lost me when the stories of him falling asleep during film sessions, skipping out on recruiting to go to Vegas, and his drunk escapades came out.

Arkansas - no matter the sport - is not an easy place to win. You can not be half assed as a coach here. Almost every coach who has failed or had a mishap has done so due to not being fully invested.

Bielema - rather drink and go to Vegas
Petrino - let a mistress derail his tenure here
Nutt - text messages and Code Reds
Ford - wishing he was back on the farm
Holtz - political campaign BS

Hatfield was probably the only coach who despite being successful and completely dedicated to being a Razorback was forced to moved on to another job.

Look at our most successful coaches we have had - their primary focus was winning and winning here. John McDonnell built our track program into a dominant force. Norm DeBriyn took a passed over program who shared a field with the band, built it into a winner, and passed it on to Dave Van Horn. DVH is a Razorback and fully dedicated to this team. Moved his family with him every step of the way.

Even our women's coaches know that you have to be fully invested. Coach Deifel is building our softball program and I've seen her at multiple Razorback games outside of softball with her son on her hip. She has embraced this community and program.

TLDR - you have to be fully invested to win here (or to at least be competent) and I believe that Musselman and his family have shown that they are more invested than Morris.

I agree with everything you said there but I don’t think spending a few hours on Friday night at a game has anything to do with our performance on Saturdays. The entire rest of the coaching staff is out at games recruiting and by then the gameplan should already have been installed.

I’d rather him be at a game and see possible future potential recruits than out partying or something like Kiffin probably does
