I like AG a lot, however, his sample size is small. I'm not saying he won't be a superstar AD, he very well could. I'd really hate to do the Auburn thing and saddle the school with an enormous contract with a ridiculous buyout for a guy that still is fairly new with some potential question marks.

Kinda like the whole market-rate debate w/ Gus a few years back, I guess.

He is just now figuring out the job he entered over a year ago. His results aren’t going to be tremendously positive right off the bat. Yet, there have been a few positives of his tenure so far:
-He’s frugal and practical with the budget. He trimmed 10% of the budget from all sports programs so that the money could be put to better use- aka fan interests, stadium upgrades, etc. He also culled away overhead costs by scrapping redundant positions within the athletic department with ambiguous responsibilities or less than stellar results.

- He helped Bruce keep his job. Enough said

- The recruits love him. He’s a great AD that helps with recruiting any way that he can.

-He talked to Gus about opening up. Greene is a very personable guy.

I feel like we are just NOW seeing what he can do. We do not need him to walk away.

Edit: I realize he doesn’t deserve all the credit for last year’s success (CWS, Final 4), but he deserves a salary comparable to the other SEC AD’s. He shouldn’t be near the bottom.
