Running back is the only position in football that isnt' significantly better in today's game than it was in the past.

That being said, 5'11 230 and slow (for today's game) look a lot different vs 240-260lb linemen than it would vs someone like a 6'4 342lb Dexter Lawrence.

Earl Campbell would not have holes to run through and he would not be pushing guys around like he did back then.

This is just math.
