It's not some accident Burrow feels at home in the SEC.
Burrow just belongs in the SEC. I forget he was ever at Ohio State. Just a temporary stop on his way to where home really was all along.

Last 3 years haven't been close. Before that you basically had LSU winning the game by about 3-7 points with the occasional OM win or LSU blowout win over OM. The blowouts and OM wins are both the outliers. Most games are competitive. OM has to right the ship to get it back competitive for players to consider it a rivalry.
ETA after getting on a PC:
Since 2000 LSU has won 15 out of 20 games. These games have an average score of 29-22. So LSU comes out on the winning side 75% of the time in recent history, but most of the games are entertaining at least. There's been a few snoozers in there (2011 - OM worst season ever, 2005 - Orgeron's first season as a HC and Last year - Fat Lukes ultra successful season /s)

in the 2000's LSU and Auburn was a big rivalry. LSU/Alabama was thought to be but 8 years in a row of losing has quieted that.
I think in 2019 LSU and Florida are definitely considered rivals because of the history but in the last few years because of the bad blood. Also there's not a lot of "streaks" of winning or losing in this series in the last 8-10 years it seems like.
2009 UF
2010 LSU
2011 LSU
2012 UF
2013 LSU
2014 LSU
2015 LSU
2016 UF
2017 LSU
2018 UF
60/40 winning/losing % for the series over 10 years. I think that and the bad blood between the players has made this into a great rivalry. especially since florida state and miami are both down.

Why is this a big deal? Does every sec team need to be LSUs rival? Everyone can’t be our rival.
He’s not from here. He’s played OM once and maybe.... maybe he didn’t view them as a rival. It’s mind blowing... I know.

I think if you are "rivals" both teams need to kind of beat each other a bit. the florida/lsu series all time has florida up just a few games out of like 60 something.

but only nine games matter.
Only 7 games really matter and you can see which schools play in those games.
LSU-3 big conference games
UF- 3 big conference games
AU- 4 big conference games
ALA- 2 big conference games
UGA- 2 big conference games
10-05
AU @ UF
10-12
UF @ LSU
10-26
AU @ LSU
11-2
UF vs UGA @ Jacksonville
11-9
LSU @ ALA
11-16

The only thing that caused this yearly battle to even become a rivalry is the Arnsparger flip. When he left coaching of a peaking LSU to go administer UF athletics, he followed up with a Steve Spurrier that was passed up by LSU for a political brown-noser who flopped as a coach. And it costed us for the next 12 years.

As far as who I'd enjoy beating most:
1. Alabama (just because of Saban, once he's gone it won't get to me as much)
2. Texas A&M
3. Auburn
4. Florida

U boy's are giving away your age!!!LSU rivals will always be O'PISS, Not lately but for at least 39 years!

The Arkansas trophy is stupid. LSU fans care about Ole Miss before Texas A&M and Arkansas, and we really only care about Ole Miss after Alabama, Florida and Auburn in any order you want to put those three.
So, yeah, Burrow is right about Ole Miss "supposedly" being a rival.
