No its not fair at all. Everything Stidham has said, either during the difficult last year at AU, or during his interviews before his draft day, or even after, has been positive with his experience at Auburn. There were times I expected him to say something negative about Gus' offense and how he was used, but he never did. I even remember him as actually being complimentary in his time at Auburn.

He never bashed Gus because he was still trying to get drafted. It was his fiancée and uncle that did.

Yeah, I feel 2017 and 2018 JS were completely different players. 2017, he was still out there putting in the work to improve his draft stock. Played very well most of the time and could come back in 2018 to show improvement in certain areas to bolster his stock.

Instead,he gets engaged to a girl with a filthy rich daddy involved in pro sports and thinks (rightly so, probably) he has it made. The demeanor on the sideline of, specifically, the UT game made me think that he didn't really care if he was going to get to the next level.

Maybe I'm being unfair as well, but that is just the way I viewed him last year. It made it all the more frustrating knowing he had the good side that was borderline elite.

Oh well. Hope he does well in the league.
