look up SportsbyBrooks on twitter hes running with it again his tweet says the following
"Source: SportsbyBrooks has learned that the richest man in the state of Alabama, Auburn superbooster Jimmy Raneis targeting Bob Stoops to replace Gus Malzahn if the latter fails to beat Alabama this season

Question: Is there any truth to the report by “SportsbyBrooks” that Auburn booster Jimmy Rane plans to go after Bob Stoops if Gus Malzahn doesn’t beat Alabama?
My answer: Anyone who followed the Cam Newton saga should know that SportsbyBrooks, whose name is actually Brooks Melchior, has no credibility. He doesn’t know anything about what’s going on at Auburn if he knows anything about what is going on anywhere. Here is what I know: Neither Rane nor anyone else has a plan to go after Bob Stoops. Malzahn’s future will not be based on whether he wins a single game against Alabama. If there were to be a change, none of the money to pay off departing coaches would come from Abbeville, Ala. The myth of Rane buying out coaches and paying coaches is just that. It’s a myth. Rane has not reached out to Stoops. He does not have a personal realtionship with Stoops. He has not discussed with Stoops the possibility of being Auburn's coach and he certainly is not the source of this latest ridculousness. If any national reporters or, for that matter, fans are gullible enough to let this become a real story when Auburn is 3-0 and headed for a huge game, that’s on them and they are playing right into Melchior’s hands.

Regardless of whether or not there is interest on either side for Stoops to coach at Auburn, the above quote is just ridiculous in this day and age. All the communication would be done through a coaches agent. An agent should collect all the information about what the market demand for his client is, and present it to him at the end opf the season. They can sit down and talk about the possibility of taking one of the offers and changing schools, or simply bring the market value to the coaches current school and talk about restructuring the contract if there is sufficient interest in the coach from other programs.
I know if I were a coach and some booster approached me about a job, I would direct them to my agent. Agents get paid a lot of money, I'd make mine earn it.

Stoops is NOT GOING TO AUBURN!
Stoops has made it clear in the past he has no desire to return to coaching. Period.
Even if he was interested, there's no way he'd consider Auburn. Auburn would have to mortgage its own campus to afford Gus' buyout AND pay for Stoops' salary requirements.

Totally agree with your old post. All he did was lift an innocuous quote from a Plainsman article and framed it to insinuate some young woman was being pimped out to recruits. Brooks should have just stayed gone.

Stoops wouldn't be able to hack it in the SEC
He was top dog at OU but big game Bob had a lot of chances to pick up some statement wins in national title games and in playoffs but always got exposed.
Doesn't sound too much different than Malzahn, who is 3-0 last time I checked.
