what do you miss most about leaving the Big12?

Rivalries. Cultural camaraderie. BS'ing with co-workers/friends from other B12 schools. Shorter road trips/able to take more road trips. Really miss everyone in the Big 8, DON'T miss the +4 Texas schools (which we are still with A&M, so +3 technically I guess). EDIT: BASKETBALL. Crazy how different the roundball is outside of Kentucky, in terms of everything: from style of play, to fan atmosphere, etc. I don't think most SEC fans realize that we have been a basketball school for decades. The move just happened to coincide with the absolute worst (not conjecture, objective) period in program history. EDIT 2: No wrestling in SEC. Great sport.

*Big thing for me, certain segments of our fans pretending to be something we are not. Wasn't a problem in the Big12. We knew where we stood, our state's culture, etc. Some are trying wayyyyyyy too hard to be "southern" and it just isn't a good look. We are a Midwestern state.

I'm glad A&M fans never took that approach. Texas is not, and will never be, the south.

Right, that grates my nerves more than anything. We're unique and that's fine.
