Not sure I can add anything that hasn’t been mentioned ....

Things I appreciated about tB12:
- geographic proximity to opponents (but we knew that going in to the deal)
- in the same vein ... the majority of conference events (conference games notwithstanding) weren’t geographically located, such that the same five or six teams habitually benefited from tourneys, receptions, media days, awards ceremonies, etc.
- our history and traditions w the Texas schools
- most of the supporters of B12 teams were affiliated with their university, rather than simply self-identifying themselves as “fans,” due to where they lived/grew up or because their “brother in law went [there].” I don’t think Baylor won a football game in a century, yet their grads stood by the team through thick & thin.

This wouldn’t bug me in the least, apart from the fact that those same “I’m no longer a fan of [Team X]” individuals tend to be the most obnoxious in every way. It’s stinkin’ odd. That dynamic didn’t exist in tB12—at least not nearly to the extent that it does in the SEC.

Things I prefer about the SEC:
- $
- overall excitement level
- opponents travel much better
- no longhorns (until they sniffed out this board like pigs in search of maroon truffles)
- better facilities
- better road trips
- increased exposure for Texas A&M University
- camaraderie
- competent conference leadership
- respect for all universities and not just one
- superior recruiting
- better coaches
- “It just means more”

Also curious on A&M and Mizzou fnas opinions on the conference division split and cross-division games?

Obviously there is much contention between a portion of the original 12 on how this should take place. LSU fans have never been big fans of it, but before we expanded it wasn't that big of a deal. We would play half 3 of 6 cross-division opponents every year. Now only playing 2, and having 1 be a permanent, it sucks for us.

Mizzou fans still haven't had the opportunity to play LSU at home. They also have to travel to UF every other year. A&M fans are just now going to Athens for the first time, but they have to travel to Columbia SC every other year. Don't y'all want more rotation?
