Yes, but even in a 3-way tie in 2017 between LSU-Auburn-Alabama, Auburn would've won the tie-breaker.

I'm really not sure why y'all can't see that it's harder to get through Alabama to get to Atlanta than anyone in the East - especially given UGA's record vs Saban at Alabama. Yes, Auburn did it in 17, but I'm not saying it's impossible, just harder.

Ultimately, Smart making it to Atlanta while O hasn't isn't a good comparison. Hell, it's not NEARLY as good as head to head, and with Smart making a ton of bone-headed mistakes while O takes him to the woodshed.
