KNOXVILLE, TN. (THECOUNT) — Sophomore Knoxville Volunteers cornerback Bryce Thompson has been arrested Saturday night and charged with domestic assault after threatening to “Shoot up the school,” according to Sunday reports.
Thompson was arrested and released from jail overnight, following an altercation with a female around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Thompson and the unidentified woman, were arguing at the Stokely Hall Dorms on campus when he was overheard threatening her, and a witness saying he threatened to, “Shoot up the school,” reports WATE.
The responding officer also says damage to the building was seen, with a gate “ripped from its hinges,” according to the officer.
In 2018, Thompson made news just before National Signing Day when he announced he wouldn’t be signing with his hometown South Carolina Gamecocks.

wtf does this even mean? I assume you're implying a black inner city youth simply can't shake his poor upbringing when getting to college?
You know bill norton is a white dude from tennessee, right?

Meh - fairly sure he will still be on the team assuming the charges are dropped. Not a good look at all and he appears to have anger issues he needs to deal with. But the assault was only verbal which is what will save him. Will likely face a small suspension.

Yeah, it wasn't just his academics that kept him out at SC. Something similar to this incident occurred while he was in HS.Talent not worth the risk.

But but but .... Tennessee stole him from us at the last minute.
Now you know.
Now you know.

If he actually threatened to "shoot up the school", why would the charges be dropped? Unless someone suddenly changes the story, that sort of thing normally has severe consequences.
