Because we accepted our upper-middle place in the SEC pecking order they assumed it would go on forever. And with our coach and administration being the biggest obstacles to winning big in those days why wouldn't they?

They are projecting hope. They want us to stay where we were. Now that we're a national power they are screaming ever louder. They don't want to look inward and accept what they have relative to what we have. But in their heart, they know they are fooked.
