Everyone knows the key to beating Bama is disrupting their RPOs but the problem is stuffing their running game first and foremost.
Ya see scrooster, that's where Alabama fricked up. Clemson didn't "stuff" Alabama's running game (Alabama's running backs averaged over 5 yards per carry). Alabama stopped running the football.....and why we'll never know.

Seriously?

I didn't even watch the game, but I bet I can guess why.

Alabama was running primarily an RPO offense. The QB has the option to run, hand the ball off or pass depending on how he reads the defense. If he's not calling any running plays based on the defense he sees, the defense must be showing him something that he decides to throw on.

In a previous thread, a Clemson player was quoted as saying they were disguising their coverage really well.

There you have it, it's no mystery. The REAL mystery is why so many people don't understand why a team might stop running the ball after having initial success with it (UGA vs LSU, 2018). It almost ALWAYS involves adjustments to the defense to take the run away.

Duh.
