Still don't understand how this association of LSU and corn dogs came about. Corn dogs wouldn't make the Top 2000 of a list of all things Louisiana.

It was copied and pasted from Iowa and Nebraska message boards about 15 years ago, allegedly by some Auburn person. Nebraskans and Iowans use that term up there, you know, where the CORN IS, to refer to each other.

And ala-shame-a fans curiously build their whole lives around this falsehood. Why is a mystery.

It has less than zero to do with Louisiana, which grows rice and other produce, not corn.

Actually, the largest consumption of corn dogs is not only in Iowa or Nebraska, but at the Texas State Fair.
