have you been to columbia? When I went up there for a game I was pleasantly surprised by the main downtown area and how closely it reminded me of athens. It's not exactly the same of course, but had a similar layout and "feel" to it. I don't know near enoguh about the landscape of towns from coast to coast to say where it shoudl rank or if it's too high or too low, but I wouldn't scoff at it being on some of these lists.

CoMo is a great town.
We’ve been twice and thoroughly enjoyed our trip both times.
If you haven’t been, add it to your list.

Yes.

As far as I can remember, this the first of probably thousands of "best college town" lists that make it on this board that has ever included COMO. I suspect that there are some SI writers and editors that hold journalism degrees from Mizzou.
