Mac Jones seems to be getting better and better at the Patriots camp. Clearly the better QB the last 2 practices. Belichick says Scam will be the starter, but they keep giving Mac more reps in practice. Surely they will cut that out soon if he plans to go with Scam. I do understand the reasoning that you dont want to start a rookie, because if things dont go well from the start, the fans will turn on him and the organization.

They're probably getting Mac geared up for pre-season. He's going to get the bulk of the snaps in at least the first couple of games even if Belichick already anticipates him being the starter.
