LINK Tyson throwing.

Personally I can’t tell anything from throwing on air. In today’s game, it’s how you throw under a blitz and disguised coverages. Obviously he isn’t awful arm talent wise but it also wasn’t like watching some of Young’s HS stuff.

Pretty good article:

Oft-overlooked QB Paul Tyson 'can make any throw' on the field (BOL, July 14, 2020) ~ QB trainer Lavelle Durant is still working with Paul.

Tyson

Heard a former coach on the radio talking about the new QB dynamic a few years ago. Basically said top QBs transfer if not playing. It’s dangerous because if you play the freshman then you suddenly have a QB room of one (and it’s hard to even recruit a top QB in the next class).

He said schools are going to have to take a guy here and there in-between who’s decent but not elite (and probably an in-state kid) so you have a QB who’s not going to transfer. He said odds are he’s never the guy but probably has to win you a couple games over his career due to injuries.

I don’t know a lot about Tyson but that sure sounds like what I imagine him to be.

Having said that, the coach went on to give an example. He said Bama’s done this by taking that Mac Jones youngster. He’ll probably never start but you need a guy like him to fill out your QB room.
