They're working on fixing coverage assigments and mistakes. The halftime adjustments made vs UGA showed we're making some progress -- the defense settled down and played better. Still more work to do, but as long as I see ongoing improvements where needed, I can be patient.

Agreed; I think that’s all we’ve asked for. The problem was, up until the 3rd and 4th Quarters of the UGA game, we saw zero improvement and some might say we even got worse on defense.
In my very worthless opinion, we should incorporate a lot more zone defense and let the DL just do their thing this year. And then next year we need to pick up a proven DC with great communication skills that can teach these guys how to play man, read pew-snap motion, shift, etc. We also need an ILB coach that can teach these guys how to properly play the position - I wonder what Reuben Foster is up to these days and if he needs a job lol.

Me too. Not being a Debbie downer bc I am extremely happy to get the W, but from a coaching perspective , if you go back and watch it closely , UGA had guys open most of the night. We got lucky with batted balls but that many usually doesn’t happen . Our offense is good enough to carry us most of the time but like you said, we have got to clean some things up in the middle of the field
