Why quibble about which date accurately marks the freeing of the last remaining pocket(s) of slavery in the USA? Regardless, the purpose of "Juneteenth" is to celebrate the abolishment of slavery, which should be celebrated. I'm proud of UA for promoting Juneteenth.

Some poor UA Athletic's social media intern is going to get a tersely worded carrier pigeon about the ratification of the 13th amendment from their local Confederate States Preservation Society .
