I remember one play in the A&M game; it was a third down and he had someone wide open in the flats and had rolled out in the same direction. He could have ran for a first, or easily tossed it to an open man. He never set his feet and made an abysmal throw to miss his guy. I mean it looked like me trying to throw left handed and I am very…very right handed. I like Jalen and respect the fact that he didn’t tuck tail and run..I just don’t know if he will be polished enough to be their starter in crimson and white. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

I of course don't make a living as a football coach but if I were evaluating QB's to run my offence I wouldn't give a ton of extra points for mobility. It's a nice feature to have but you only need medium ability in it to extend a play. If you rate too much on mobility it will work great against youngstown state but championship level defenses are going to negate any mobility and make you throw to win. Then you have the issue of can he throw when everybody knows he's got to throw. To me this is 95% of my eval points. And in that analysis snap to release time to a proper target is a huge factor. Reading and release time is a huge factor in winning vs mobility.
