I think people are generally resistant to change... I still can't believe that some millennial parent will have to explain to their kid that, "even when I was a kid, we used to vote on who won a championship. Some years, people even shared it." That child is going to be bewildered it took 100 years for them to figure out a way to crown a champion, and still there was a split in 2003.

People always bitch and moan about the death of bowls, but, have you been to some of these bowls? Have you seen these teams/matchups?

Georgia looked absolutely disinterested in playing in the Sugar Bowl last year, and its the Sugar Bowl. The Gator Bowl, Music City Bowl, Outback Bowl, etc... have incredibly sparse attendance. Who cares if this goes away in favor of an 8-team playoff?

Wouldn't you as a college football fan like to think that with 2 losses, that a final run may still propel you to a national championship? Isn't that more enjoyable than crossing your fingers for friggin' Orlando in January?

The NCAA tournament is awesome. I'm sure there were issues with expansion from 16, to 24, to 32, to 64...etc... and no one complains when UMBC beat UVA as 16 seed.

Change is inevitable. I think we'd be better off doing away with the conference title games (outside of the SEC, it's not a big deal or well attended hardly anywhere else), and really give our conference almost an annual shot to get 2 teams in.

You think home and homes are fun? Make the first round of the playoffs on campus!

Imagine - it's December 20th. You pack up the wagon to go watch Ohio State travel to Alabama, or Oklahoma head to Athens, or maybe upstart Florida squeezes in as an 8-seed and heads up to Clemson Death Valley for a playoff game. The atmosphere would be electric.

Quit being averse to change. It's usually a good thing.
