Not in time for spring football. But got in for weight training.

I see.

You mentioned his size. As an Alabama fan, are you not concerned about an undersized true freshmen taking over that spot?

Kedrick has a rare combination of size and speed. Truly unique. Bullingsley isn’t there yet imho.

This former OL playing TE looked pretty good vs L8U. Guess we can just do that again when we need to.

What the hell are you talking about?

Cameron Latu is 6'5 and 240lbs. He played both sides of the ball in highschool, want to guess the positions? He played as a reciever and DE. Although he looks and played more like a TE than a reciever, they didn't play him on the line - although clearly could have.

You just ignorantly assume because he switched positions it means he's not going to do well at it. Well his highlight videos tell another story as he runs routes, catches the ball and then proceeds to bowl over defenders.

Cameron Latu

And there is no "depth chart" at Alabama which everyone knows. Just peoples guesses. However, if you really really want to go that route - as James was already suspended for the 1st 4 games of the season, Cameron was already the actual listed starter. It was always a question of if Kedrick would be able to take the starting spot away from Cam after the suspension was over - which is clear as to why after you watch Cam's highlight video.

I wonder why this depth chart and article weren't used?

Alabama Football: Projected post-spring 2019 depth chart

quote:

Saban moved outside linebacker Cameron Latu to tight end during the spring to try him out. Latu flourished enough that he’s probably the favorite to start, at least for the first four games.

On James:

quote:

James might be the most talented of the tight ends on the roster, but he’ll have to fight his way out of the doghouse in order to make a non-garbage time impact on the 2019 team. There should be a role for him next season, but it remains to be seen whether he can unseat Latu once his suspension is up.
