I have Directv at home so I just had to buy a portable dish kit that has all you need with it for $79. If you have a non wifi reciever at home without the wireless bridge you can use it and pay nothing. I have the wifi one so had to buy a reciever ($99) to use so Direct charges me $7 a month to access my home channels thru it.

Haven't used in Athens but use quite a bit in travel trailer at campgrounds where cable or wifi isn't an option.

I use the same set-up and it works as well as my satellite set up at home. I can watch UGA games in some seriously out of the way places (and have) and never have a hiccup. I would bet trying to stream in Athens on game day would be a nightmare unless they somehow increase capacity substantially on game days.
