We can laugh at FSU, but many other college schools will also feel financial pain. ESPN rights fees are going down, regular tickets are harder to sell (premium tickets are in demand), who wants to sit in an upper deck compared to home? Fewer folks are traveling to away and neutral site games (Auburn did not sell out of tickets against UW in Atlanta), parking is harder, tailgating is harder, etc.
The average age of fans attending games is going up. Even Bama has a hard time getting students to the games.
