Agreed. Nothing about David Greene's career leads me to believe he could have quarterbacked Georgia to 54 points in that Rose Bowl against Oklahoma. He was great in clutch moments, but those games often ended in scores like 26-24, 24-21, 31-28, etc. I do not believe he was the kind of guy who could keep up if the other QB came out smoking (a la Mayfield in the Rose Bowl or Mett in the 2013 LSU game). Just my opinion. He was great at what he was asked to do, though.

What?....you dont think Greene could have handed the ball off to Sony or chubb for touchdowns? Not taking away from Fromm who had clutch moments in that game but if I just read what you wrote and hadnt watched for myself id think Fromm threw for 5 TD's and over 500 yards

Of course not!

Fromm had 2 of the 3 highest QBR's in UGA history. The only one higher was Aarron Murray as a 5th year senior.

He was also had the best year for a true Freshman in UGA history...not even debatable.

Greene is a DGD but the 2 really don't compare and Greene also had a better QB coach and OC IMO.
