seems that in the 90's you guys were there a lot. Those were some great teams under Jim Wells back then. G.W.Keller, Roberto Vaz, Joe Caruso, Dustan Mohr, Andy Phillips, David Tidwell. There were others, but those I can remember right off the top of my head. I was in Omaha for that CWS, and I've got to tell you that my feelings were not hurt when I had learned that Vaz had rolled his ankle on a bat during BP. I thought that our chances to win the series greatly increased with him out. That was before y'all had to play out of the losers bracket and was down to Daniels for the final.

We were elite in the 90s, above average in the 2000s and a disaster in the 2010s (2015-2019 especially).

And yea, Vaz stepping on that bat was probably the single most defining moment in Alabama baseball history.
