Car thermometer read 116° this afternoon. Granted it was sitting in the sun. It accurately read once I started driving at 106°

Sitting on the back porch by the pool in Yuma back in the day, 7-8 at nite, 100 degrees on the temp scale, and we would be talking about how cool it was. Amazing, but true story.
