Well, Scott, a middle-aged man doesn't just go out and lose his pants, even fully retarded ones that downed a fifth of Beam like Fainy liked to do each night.
Everyone knows Fainy was the town drunk and there have always been rumors about his homosexuality.
Sure, he is an idiot and a weak bastard that swills alcohol like water, to this day, but that doesn't fully explain it.
He and his "pals" likely had a "party" on their boat on Lake Martin and you know, his pants just ended up in the water by accident.
It wasn't quite the same kind of party most of us think of though when thinking of parties.
