Kendall's comments (that I read) seemed to be concerning how attractive various coaching jobs were

If this is the case then I'd rank them:

Florida/LSU

and then everyone else.

I'm not sure that just anyone could do what Corbin has done at Vandy. He's made them a premier program, imo.

I think MSU is the only other program that has proven to be bigger than just the current coach. How do we know what Arkansas will be without DVH, or Ole Miss without Bianco?

You realize Arkansas won the SEC before DVH was even hired right?

Norm DeBriyn was 1161-650-6 with

2 SWC Championships
1 SEC Championship
15 NCAA Tournament Appearances
4 CWS Appearances

THIS.

One measure of program quality is success under different regimes vs just being really good with the current coach.

LSU and Florida have made the CWS under multiple regimes. And they have national championships, so they're at the top.

Vandy is a TOP program under Corbin, but they haven't made a CWS with anyone else. A lot of schools have similar scholarship advantages as Vandy but haven't sustained success.

Beginning in 1971, State made the College World Series under Paul Gregory, Polk, McMahon, Polk II, Cohen, and Cann/Henderson. And Lemonis has State as a probable national seed. Those are all of our coaches during that time.
