I am wondering if that is part of what happened. Sharp wouldn't offer a raise because he didn't think there was anything we could do to keep him from going home. Might as well pull the thorn quickly and get it done.

I wouldn't be surprised if Woodward didn't even give them the opportunity to make an offer.
