Coming off an undefeated high school season, Derrian Ford, a 6-foot-3 and 190-pound combo guard out of Magnolia (Ark.) High School, is heading up a high major recruitment that is still growing having already received over 15 scholarship offers.

"It’s been great being able to talk to coaches multiple times a day," he said of how his recruiting process has been going. "I’m just loving the process and loving building these bonds with the coaches that I’ve always watched on TV and now I’m getting the opportunity to speak with them. All the schools that I have talked to are really putting their hard effort into me."

When asked of who has been recruiting him hard, Ford mentioned Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Florida, Georgia Tech, Purdue, Texas A&M and Texas Tech and he talked about what each program has been telling him.

Arkansas: "We talk a lot. They’re bigger than basketball, from the talks I have had with them. They’re bigger than basketball so that’s a great thing. They really focus on you more than what you can do on the court. They focus on your education so that’s great, in my eyes."
