Thought the state of Alabama would never make it.

As a four-time member of the club, we grant you permission to laugh at your little brother in basketball, the University of Alabama.

Didn’t know that LSU has been to 4 Final Fours. That is pretty good for a supposed non basketball school.

Not a thing. There is only a "national championship" club.

And Dale had three or more other ones all but guaranteed, but had the misfortune of having top five teams run into the eventual natty champs in The McCray Bros and Dr Dunkenstein Darrel Griffiths, and Magic Johnson & Greg Kelser on back to back years, then had Bobby Knight not Tech'd up for phone slam and Fess Irvin missed FTs away from playing vs Syr,etc..in the Super Dome..

LSU easily could have another three to four that bad draws and bad luck squashed. Dale and his buddy Tark's snide NCAA remarks back then..equated to death draws in the Dance.

Without looking it up, has anyone ran thru this kind of gauntlet to get to a final 4?

Apparently, we are the gatekeepers for the Final Four club.

Cool.

We will have your official Final 4 smoking jacket delivered shortly. With any luck we will add you to the NCAA Tourney champ lodge as well.

Auburn just tied Georgia with 1 Final Four appearance.

Alabama is 8th on the list of teams with the most NCAAT appearances, without ever making the Final Four. Missouri is 3rd and Tennessee is 4th on said list.

I know Arkansas, LSU and Florida are on that list. Not sure who else.

Congrats to Auburn. Always good to see one of us take UK out instead of another conference.
