I called 88-74 last year and everyone called me crazy!
I think you're spot on. We beat up on a bad east, but most refuse to accept it, plus we didn't make any notable off season moves. The team did a great job beating struggling clubs. I like your 88-74 prediction for this year. We don't have the pitching to do anything significant.

We had a ton of youth last year and we kept throwing a pitching machine out there in the form of Julio Teheran who was a hitter's delight.
This year Soroka, Folty, Newcomb will all be improved, not to mention Toussant who should make a move into the starting rotation to shore up the #4. Snit's love affair for Teheran will keep him in the rotation at 5. Starting pitching will be improved overall. Our bullpen will still be our biggest weakness and we will suffer agonizing momentum changes down the stretch because of this.
However, our batting will be lights out. Ender had a bad year, I do not expect him to stay in the rut. Acuna is a phenom, Ozzie should improve as well. Freddie is as consistent as they come and Markakis is a count eater as well as an on base master. If Donaldson can match 75% of his MVP year that will be a major improvement at 3rd base. Not to mention we have Comargo who is not a bad replacement. Dansby played through a wrist injury for 5 months last year and he looks to be fresh and ready to go this year.
We will win the pennant. Bryce is a cancer in a locker room, I honestly feel like the Nationals will be our biggest threat if they learn to play as a team. Between Kapler's management and Bryce's diva-ness the phillies will falter at the first sign of adversity. The Mets are one injury away from being awful and the Marlins are minnows in the sea.

Josh Donaldson could be very, very, MVP-caliber noticeable if he is back to his old-self.
