Was really rooting for him because he seems like a great guy and a decent coach. But 0-19 is unacceptable given what he still had after Darius went down. Have no idea where they go from here for a coach.

I like how that article uses a stock photo of will wade instead of Drew.
Also, there was a strong case for Drew being fired but the AD went about doing it the wrong way.

The new ad was a G league guy right? He may already have a guy he wants to put in that he knows from that role.

Wow, that seems like a mistake to me.

I didn't realize Vandy had such a strong recruiting class for next year. Never thought he was a bad coach but 0-19 is kind of unacceptable, that's really hard to do.

Drew is a good coach. The SEC was a nightmare league this year.
That roster was constructed around a guy who is a top 5 pick in next years draft.
I wouldn't like this move if I'm a Vandy fan.

Well this is unexpected. At least the guy who made the why is Drew still my coach thread this weekend should be happy.

Jeff Goodman @GoodmanHoops Also told by a source that Vandy is trying to re-assign Bryce Drew instead of just letting him walk so he can seek employment elsewhere. This athletic director — Malcolm Turner — has been on the job since Feb. 1 and this was his first meeting with Drew.

Chris Vernon @ChrisVernonShow This story said it was the first meeting between coach and AD... and it was to fire him? How is that even possible? What an insanely strange deal

Time for Big Kerm to go get my man Scottie's kid to come to Oxford

This is false, of course.

Would have thought it was impossible to do at Vandy. And yet, Bryce made it happen.
0-19

Top player lost for the season early, and good recruits coming in. Mistake.

Why doesnt Vandy make a run at Belmonts coach? Dont get me wrong, i hate your school and want you to suck as long as it will happen but just out of curiosity.

Agreed. Its hard for me to argue this when Kim fricking Anderson could still win a few games with far less talent.

Kermit Davis was the answer after Stallings and was right in our backyard. Still pissed about that one.
