How does the SEC not get a team in the first line. Lunardi has Michigan St or NC there, if AU beats UT tomorrow.

I fully expect them to frick Tennessee with keeping Gonzaga on the line and sucking off UNC. The media is pushing that three ACC #1 seeds too hard.

It looks like it will definitely be Virginia, Duke, and UNC. If Auburn and Michigan win tomorrow then Gonzaga gets the 4th number one, if UT and Michigan State win it will between those 2.

ESPN has been lobbying hard for 3 ACC teams to be a one all week and I feel the committee may actually do that.. UT deserves a one seed but may be a two.

Exactly, UNC loses to Duke and it helps them. UT deserves a 1 seed and we should get a 2 seed in the South.

And the fact they lost in their conference tournament to the only team in the conference with a pulse.
If losing to Tennessee knocks Kentucky off the #1 line, Gonzaga shouldn’t be there either. Period.

I think Gonzaga will be the 2 out West. They get to play in their preferred region and essentially have the same path as being a 1, but don't get rewarded for the weak schedule and Head to Head loss to UT.

Anyone who watched this game knows we're 1 seed material... to be honest, both UT and UK probably are. Unfortunately if we don't beat yall tomorrow the SEC will probably end up without a 1 seed.

If UT wins the tournament championship tomorrow we move up to the (4th?) #1 seed and Gonzaga drops down to the 1st #2 seed. That's what Lunardi and co were saying after our games anyways.

I said earlier that if win the neutral court matchup that there was a chance neither UT nor UK would get a 1 seed. Had Kentucky won I think they'd have been given the benefit of the doubt because they are a blue blood. Like it or not, it works that way in both football and basketball.
That said, the #2 seed bracket UT is projected to wind up with if we don't win tomorrow isn't a bad draw.

ESPN needs to check the numbers. Knoxville has been the #2 market for college basketball this year. It won't help them to triple down on the ACC market.

I like that they bring up that game at the beginning of the season but willfully ignore Kentucky beating UNC in December.
