You are applying after-the-fact information to at-the-time information, regarding a small town newspaper article on a deadline to the printing press.

Your sentence makes no sense.

The fact that burned human bones bearing cut marks were discovered in the quarry supports the contention that, at some point, the Rav4 was there as well.

It is possible, but unlikely, that some other dismembered person was burned in that quarry. If the bones belonged to Halbach, most likely her body was transported there in her car.

It's a fact that the quarry was a crime scene. That fact was not revealed to Avery's jury.
