My perspective is this: We are not Alabama. Only after decades of consistent top 10 finishes and multiple NCs could we be an Alabama. So the fact is, until that happens we will need to constantly try to get better because those man-childs ready to start as freshmen will not be coming to Mizzou. Bama can pick and choose, we cannot.

One or two good seasons doesn't make you a Bama. I think kU made that mistake of trying to compete recruiting with the big dogs after their one good season. Time, effort and results play in, and those you could have gotten while chasing those 5-stars.

It doesn't matter if you finish 2nd or last in recruiting someone, it's still a miss and wasted effort. So its very important to have spot-on evaluations that are better than the prognosticators that assign the Stars, and your time and effort is well spent.

We, unlike Bama, need to coach these kids up. Bama can just throw kids in the water and if they drown, and so what if they do, there's another one right behind them.

Missouri has had 17 players drafted since the first draft after joining the league (2013). That's more than Tennessee(16), Kentucky(5), Ole Miss(14), and Vandy(8). It is tied with Mississippi State and South Carolina (17). Auburn, aTm, and Arky have 21 or so over that period.

I think the staff has done a great job of identifying talent compared to the rest of the conference.
