But nobody consistently had the talent discrepancy that Bama has enjoyed during that period of time. The fact that two came on Mulligans makes the writers point.

uhh, yeah, and recruiting is a major part of that unprecedented dynasty. Hell, St. Nick himself told Mal Moore, after Moore finally wooed him from Miami, that he wasn't a great coach, but was a great recruiter.

I think he sold himself short (snicker) because he's a pretty great coach, though nobody is infallible.

Auburn has consistently pulled talented classes ranked around the top 10 for a long while. Yet they average 3-4 losses a year and end up ranked outside the top 10 at the end of most seasons. Why?
