Picked up a few things in the past couple days...

CNS was set to hire Chip Long as OC, but was contacted by Jimmy Sexton that Sark wanted to come back to college/Bama. Saban immediately jumped on that. Saban also highly coveted Kyle Flood as OL coach (who some of the people I listen to really DON'T like, but the man who counts really does, apparently), which Sark was going to be able to bring with him.
Daniel Wright is back in the saddle. If his mind is right and he can keep himself straight after his time away at Club 21 (weed), he should be a big contributor in 2019.
The staff is supposedly very high on Brian Robinson going into this coming season. He considered transferring on more than one occasion (pretty common these days), but has stuck it out and will get the opportunity to form a dynamic duo with Najee. Potential very high draft pick. Almost 240 pounds and very fast.
This is probably not a surprise to anyone and I've even seen chatter of this on message boards, but the staff is on the lookout for a TE in the grad transfer pool. An experience DL or ILB is also possible. Have heard one name mentioned at ILB, but don't think they want the name public now (and I'm not sure if he could play at an SEC level anyway... may be a non-story). As for TE, need someone to go along with Forristall. And need for Kedrick James, when back from suspension, to stop being a knucklehead. He has all the physical talent in the world.
Raekwon is, I'm sure, excited about Brian Baker coming in as DL coach. He didn't mesh well with Coach Kool. Kool is a good DL coach, but wasn't a good fit with Bama. Struggled with motivation down the stretch.
Leadership was badly missing in the locker room from about the post-LSU game (where we usually hit a lull) onward. Guys (***cough Mack Wilson cough***) that didn't really invest the time and effort into being the best. Other guys worried about their draft stock. The old staff did a poor job with managing this team, overall. We could even see some of the bizarre (for Saban Bama team standards) behavior with our own eyes. More chippy-ness (if that's a word) than any of his other teams. All the unbelievable amount of mental errors. Quinnen Williams showboating after making a TFL while down 28. Just really odd to see from a Bama team. Locker room leadership is viewed by CNS as critical going into 2019. Much do a better job from the assistant coaching perspective.
Expect big things from Ekiyor in the interior of the OL next year. Whether at LG or C, they are REALLY high on him. Came in overweight, but worked hard to get closer to a good playing weight.
Evan Neal is already down to 340. That's about as good as news can get to my ears! Going to be a monster. CNS thinks he is better than Cam Rob at the same stage.
Kyriq Mcdonald was sort of forced into the transfer portal due to weed issues.
This is what pops into my memory right off hand. I'm sure I'll probably recall other stuff later.

Wow... great info for a time when we (the great unwashed) are normally left hangin and wondering

From my own personal experiences at UA with several former players who loved themselves some weed, getting forced out for weed takes an incredible amount of stupidity from the player... He was probably going to get himself kicked out if he didn't transfer so this probably was for the best.

Flood still has a terrible resume as an OL coach and has some real, knowledgeable detractors (along with some really vocal supporters, like Cubelic), just have to have faith that Saban is making the right choice after clearly making some bad decisions with his hires last year.

We need to move Jedrick to guard and Womack back to RT. Those two combined with Leatherwood, Cornbread and Emil should be a more physical O line than last season.
Gotta give the rock to Najee and B Rob. I know we have other backs coming in that can contribute but I really feel those two should get the bulk of the carries...they've waited long enough. Feed them. We need to get back to pounding the ball then play action pass.
Both Najee and B Rob need to have a 2012 Lacy/Yeldon type year.

I remember seeing Bill Curry yank Prince Wimbley by the face mask for showboating after a catch against Miami in the Sugar Bowl. Only thing I ever saw Curry do that I liked.

A consequence of his own idiotic choosing.
Option A: Stay out of trouble, focus on earning that paid college degree and a starting spot at Bama, which will likely get you a spot in the NFL draft and make you a very young millionaire.
Option B: Smoke a lot of weed instead.

The University of Alabama placed 90 student-athletes on the 2018 Fall Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll, the conference office announced Thursday. The Crimson Tide is one of just three schools to have 80 or more student-athletes earn the honor, ranking second overall and first among teams that don’t sponsor men’s soccer.
A total of 34 members of Alabama's SEC champion football team earned a place on the honor roll. Among those earning the academic accolades are All-Americans Ross Pierschbacher and Jonah Williams, CoSIDA Academic All-American Keaton Anderson and CoSIDA All-District honoree Jedrick Wills Jr. The Tide's total is third among the 14 SEC football squads. . .
