Online dating, What was your experience?

I was just wondering what your opinions were on online dating and populare dating sites (e.g. less damaged goods and attention seekers, more people actually looking for a relationship). Last one I was on was Tinder and to be honest I think it's probably the bottom of the barrel of dating sites (could be wrong).
Does anyone have any thoughts on good dating websites/apps?

Online dating: One of the many reasons I am glad I am married and no longer have to worry about dating.

They’re not terrible if you live in a well populated area because it’s all a numbers game. The area I live in now is sparsely populated so all I get is overweight unemployed single mothers who hate drama, have bad tattoos and an inflated sense of self worth.

As KSGamecock mentioned, it's all a numbers game. This also means that most of the dudes will employ a shotgun style approach to online dating. They will most likely flood your inbox with canned responses that the guys also send to 100 other women each time they're on the site. 
Eventually they'll get a hit and maybe get some sex out of the deal. But make no mistake, most dudes looking online for someone to date are actually looking for someone to frick.
Being a guy is easy on the online dating thing, but I imagine being a female would make it harder. Because there's a good shot you will end up ignoring messages from guys who would make a good match because the initial message may look just like the other 37 that you just deleted without even reading.

Girls on tinder are either desperate or THOTS.
Note that this doesn't mean you have to meet on tinder, I mean if she even has an active one.
I'd dump a girl immediately if I knew she had an active tinder even if we weren't exclusive yet, or I'd at least abandon any thoughts of a serious relationship.
That being said, if you want desperate and/or THOTS, it's a great slump buster.
