I think his inangibles will all grade out really well.
It will come down to if he can catch the ball reliably and run good routes.

Hall was really good at the NFL combine. He set the all time record for WR’s in the broad jump and tied for second all time for any position(11.9).
In this years combine he tied for first in the vertical jump(43.5) and ran a 4.39 in the 40. Hall said when he is at 100% he runs 4.3 in the 40.
He believes he is around 80%-90% healthy.

I believe it. His 4.39 40 looked like he was on cruise control.
I think the right team can help refine his route running.
His ball catching skills are up to him though. Improve and he’ll stick in the NFL.

Now the doctors are saying that he has a sports hernia.

I guess he’ll fall into that “you gotta steal” round then.
Did he run the 4.39 with the hernia?

It was diagnosed by the doctors at the combine, so I guess he did compete in the combine with a sports hernia.
That makes it even more impressive. The hernia may hurt his draft stock, because he will need surgery.
He could be a real steal for a team if he is picked later in the draft or a bust if he is picked to early.
He was ranked 13th best WR and projected to go between the 3rd and 5th round before the combine(2/2/19).

Probably for the best. May end up on a better team.

Hall said that he normally runs a flat 4.3. So, I guess the hernia slowed him down a tad.

He’s one of the best WR in the country. He might be the best pure WR we’ve ever had. His ability to get separation on DBs is simply unmatched.
His struggle looks like it’s going to be staying healthy and cutting his drops. Has the ability to be a no 1 on a NFL team though if all goes well.

DX, Macklin, Henry Marshall and Mel Gray might have something to say about that.

DX, Maclin, Bailey, Gage, and Sasser had more complete games than Hall.

He was good but not even close.

If he stays healthy in the NFL I believe I’ll be proven correct.

There are WR’s that had better college careers than Hall.
Hall has potential to have a better professional career.
Compared to Maclin
Hall 6’2” 201 lb’s (Hall said he has put on 15 to 20 lbs mostly muscle).
4.39 forty
33 1/4 wingspan
9 3/4 hand
15 reps
Vertical Jump 43.5
Broad Jump 141 inches
Maclin 6’0” 198 lbs
4.45 forty (Maclin thought when healthy he ran a 4.31)
32 1/4 wingspan
9 1/4 hand
Reps N/A (opted out)
Vertical Jump 35.5
Broad Jump 120 inches
Maclin used his strength, speed, and route running to get open. Maclin dropped to 19th in the draft because of a hip injury and teams saw that he took his eyes off the ball while it was in the air.
Hall uses speed and athleticism. Route running can be taught and he can add strength. Hall’s stock has increased because of his athleticism, but the sports hernia may keep him from jumping up the board to far.
JQ might be right. If Hall works on his game, stays healthy, and along with athleticism he could be Mizzou’s best NFL WR.

Maclin's ball skills were light years ahead of where Halls are at the same point in their career. Maclin's catch rate in the NFL is better than Larry Fitzgerald's.
I hope Hall has a good career but you guys are throwing game film out the window in light of some shite done in shorts and a t-shirt.

I agree that Maclin was more polished and had better ball skills going into the draft. That is why Maclin was picked in the 1st round.
Hall has room for improvement. That is why he is not a 1st or 2nd round pick like Maclin. After the bowl game he was a projected 7th road pick. The week before the combine he was projected as a mid 4th round pick. The combine will only help him continue to climb up the draft board.
Im not saying he is going to be, but he has the ability with work to be a really good WR in the NFL. There are many WR’s that have been picked in middle rounds that became a #1 receiver.

Look at only numbers like that and you'd think Drew Brees would never make it in the NFL.
ETA - And looking at just numbers like that and you'd think DGB would be a yearly All Pro with a 10 year career.
