Saban lost his edge?.... Not necessarily

If Clemson wins the Natty next year, I think its safe to say that at that time, there would be a new premiere program at the top of the game and probably a better overall Head Coach (Dabo) at that time.

My honest opinion is that Bama's program peaked in 2011/2012 with their back-to-back titles and we're witnessing the very slow trek back to being a solid program but not necessarily the nation's best.

2013- Florida State
2014- Ohio State
2015- Alabama
2016- Clemson
2017- Alabama
2018- Clemson
2019- ???

If Clemson wins it all next year that would give them 3 out of 4 National Titles.... a very rare accomplishment in the sport.

Bama on the other hand will drop from winning 2 out of the previous 6 down to 2 out of the previous 7.

nice spin.

As it it, though, Alabama has won 2 of the last 4 and 5 of the last 10. No other team ever has won 5 of 9, as Alabama did. For that matter, no other team has ever won 5 of 10.
