If this team consistently put out 80% of the effort a Rick Ray team put out for 40 minutes per night I think they would have a good chance to make a run at the Elite 8. Craig Sword, Gavin Ware, IJ Ready, Fred Thomas, Travis Daniels...not the most talented players but they busted their tails night in and night out.
Just think if Peters and the Weatherspoon brothers would attack the rim like Craig Sword did.

Talented and will make the NCAAt by beating lesser teams but few marquee wins and never make past the round of 32 due to laziness.

You're 100% correct. Rick Ray could not recruit, but I'll give him the fact that his teams fought which is why they were able to get some upsets over Ole Miss. It's amazing to me that our team has just regressed and has no offensive philosophy if they can't make 3 pointers. Pretty much what we saw all of last year.
This team looks like they could be lost if they lose on Saturday. This is the 4th straight year we have underperformed. If we don't make the NCAAT after this year we have to move on.
