Yes, that's true. However, Ohio State vs. Oregon in 2014 was on cable and is the second highest rated NC Game since 1998..... so it shows that being on cable doesn't necessarily hinder it from hitting a huge rating.

It also proves my point. The one game involving two teams NOT from the SEC is by far the highest rated National Title Game ever on cable.
