Championship tickets going for lowest price in history! Half or lower than face value. Slow games? Bama fatigue? No parity? S California doesn’t care? Distance?

It's in Santa Clara
That's it
That's it

No, but the stadium getting a bid to the championship game was a horrendous idea

It has a state of California problem and a shite hole stadium problem

Little of all the above but mostly distance and S. California doesn't care

Santa Clara is such a shitty location OP doesn't even realize it's in Northern California

I doubt you will be asking this question if it was in NOLA, ATL, DAL, HOU.
So answer no.
So answer no.

If it was college basketball final four it would be packed no matter who’s playing or where it was. And that’s even in the one and done era

College football has been as good as it's ever been over the last decade.
I've really enjoyed it.

I heard that since they heard there are tickets available, a lot of fans from Hawaii have decided to go. Looks like Bama will have many fans there after all.

Is it really that bad? Are people just piling on just because? I interwebed some pics and it didn't look bad and was built 4 years ago..what gives?

If by problem, you mean the people selecting this year's championship game site having no awareness of the fanbases they are likely catering to at the end of the year.
West coast teams haven't been truly relevant in college football in a decade now and that was pretty limited to USC.
I don't blame any Clemson or Bama fan who doesn't want to pay over $1,000 for a plane ticket, about the same for lodging, and even more for food/entertainment at some overpriced California city that's not even a top California destination.
Talk about tone deaf.

I think that pretty much answers your question. If the game isn’t close to home as the teams that are playing no one is going to care or go. Doesn’t really move the needle across the country.

They play final four in football stadiums. It isn’t 20,000 fans.

Absolute apples and oranges. Because of the setup of the NCAA Tournament, you are FAR more likely to have west coast/midwestern teams involved in a Final Four. And they are almost always in major tourist cities with attractions that are worth that trip.

The experience
You have to subject yourself to the Bay Area. Already a huge negative.
Its impossible to get to, the parking is a disaster and stupid expensive even by NFL standards, and then you have to leave and do it again.
The food is hot shite outside of the club section and is ridiculously expensive even by NFL standards.
You cant walk around the stadium concourse all the way because the rich person club section is blocked off cutting it in half.
The seats are uncomfortable and seemingly the elements required more canopy.
Plus the owner is a count and the locals are too.
