The Gators have had a very good run starting with Spurrier's return to Gainesville, but, before that, they had zero conference championships, let along any national titles. You'd have to be a fairly young Gator fan (with no memory of the pre-Spurrier era) to have the kind of sense of entitlement that Longhorn fans cling to.
