The big question is why LSU people keep bringing it up?
Cause we don’t want to go back to playing Arky or some shite the last week of the season

Don't worry. Even if we do play them at some point in the future, it will be in September. The SEC isn't going to juggle the schedule to put A&M-Texas on Thanksgiving (would require Kansas to play Missouri that weekend, too) as it would leave the league hostage to the whims on Texas on when they decided to quit playing A&M for the 3rd time in history.

I suspect we will schedule a home and home (2 game contract) with them sometime in the next 10-15 years, but I really don't think an annual game is coming back, absent some major changes on the college football landscape such that playing 2 Power 5 opponents every year clearly becomes the thing to do.

As to the bill that was filed, the author is an attention whore who doesn't give a rip about A&M football (his brother played football at Texas). He posted pictures of himself on some hunting trip over the Thanksgiving weekend--he couldn't be bothered to make the LSU game. No one takes it seriously--not even him. Larson started disclaiming any serious intent to force a resumption of the series when it became clear that the backlash from his bill was going to be injurious to his career.
