While they will not admit publicly, Bevo is usually heavily sedated prior to a game. Apparently someone did not give him enough "juice" before the game.
They have a difficult enough time now because of the political leanings of Austin and their administration. PETA people are strong there.

UGA stands about a foot and a half tall on all fours and weighs 50-60 or so pounds.
Bevo is a full grown bull that stands about five feet tall and weighs upwards of a ton and has long horns.
