Bama backs rushed for 200 yards with a 5.9 yard per carry average. They had one run for no gain and ZERO tackles for loss. The only thing they didn't do was break a big run, but that can in no way be blamed on the Oline's run blocking. They owned the LOS all night.

everything you said is obviously correct. now, tell me how many times our rb's were hit at the line of scrimmage and were able to break tackles for the yardage gained? when i say improvement is needed, i say that in terms of how gosh awful bad ou's run defense has been all year. yet bama only mustered 200 yards against them. with improved blocking we should have doubled that. you might not see it that way and thats fine. you're entitled to your opinion just like i am.

Last night? Very few. The line was getting great push. Every short yardage situation was converted with ease. As further evidence, no RB will break every tackle. If they were constantly getting hit there would me no gains and tackles for loss.

There were none.

Offhand, how bad do you think it has been? Before you guess, let me answer. Run defense is the only thing they were decent against. As the link shows, they gave up 156 yards a game and 4.03 yards a carry. Bama obliterated those numbers- particularly the YPC.

There have been several games this year where run blocking was suspect. Last night was not one of them.
