What makes y’all think that OU is going to beat Bama? The offense is very good, Kyler Murray is a beast, and there are some very talented receivers and RBs, but the defense is pretty bad. Alabama has just as good of an offense with a pretty damn good defense to go along with it. Besides Nick Saban having trouble with spread/hurry up type offenses in the past, is there some mismatch that benefits OU that I’m not seeing?

Are OU fans supposed to think they will lose? We play LSU every year, and every year the majority of LSU fans pick LSU to win. That is the way it is and the way it should it be. When a powerhouse program plays with great athletes, they expect to win no matter who the opponent is.

Bama played one decent team and they got pushed around like a little bitch. UGA choked because they're UGA, but we won't let Bama hang around like that. It will be a beatdown from start to finish. Boomer freakin Sooner, bitches.

I don’t believe ou will win. I said before the season that keeping Mike stoops would cost ou a title, just like last year.

It’s pretty simple, kyler Murray is going to be the difference. Bama won’t have an advantage in the trenches, because of how good Oklahoma’s Oline is and the fact the ONLY thing The OU Defense does somewhat good at is stopping the run. I have said all along this will be a tight game but Oklahoma is BUILT for shootouts and KM will win.

Wait until you guys meet Q Williams, expected to be a top pick in the nfl draft, grades the highest at both pass rush and stopping the run. Not a better dlineman in the country much less the Big 12, you guys have not seen anything like him, nor a dline like this.

It's funny to read all the SEC fans and media people tell other teams "they're gon' get dommernated" by Bama's defense.

Nick's defenses have never, ever, looked any better than BIG XII defenses against elite spread offenses. Not once. Not in victory, and certainly not in defeat. You even stated in your own post that Nick has trouble with spread offenses.

I'm not saying they don't get it done this year. But you asked the reason people feel the way they do, and there's your answer.

How did that game with Georgia work out for OU last year?

This is what we've been told about every single SEC team we've faced.

"Yawl gon' git dommernated"

^^had to go to overtime to beat Army, who btw, pushed OU's shite in.
Army was so fatigued after running all over OU defense.

Using your definition of "decent team," Oklahoma has played no decent teams this year.

You are bringing a fcs level defense to play Bama. You are bringing half a team to face a Saban team. and you think you will dominate. Bama will be able to name their score and I think it will be in the 60's.

I didn't say we would dominate. I said your defense won't because they never have. They've never even come close to shutting down an elite spread offense.

Your defense is a bunch of blue chip athletes who feast on shite offenses with crap QBs all year long. On the rare occasion Bama faces a good QB in conference play, he's a Fromm type who's a pocket passer with no mobility.

And when a competent offense comes along who can put all those elite recruits out in space and make them tackle and cover one on one, suddenly they aren't really any better at it than anybody else.

Well ok, OU will score, I don't doubt it. But in the same breath, OU has not faced a defense like Bama's, and any oline will have problems dealing with Q. Bama's defense will get several stops and the truth is they probably only need to get 2 to win.

I think OU is in for a rude awakening. Murray will be pressured and will be OU's leading rusher.
The OU defense is suspect and was exploited by Armys ground game. Oklahoma stacked the box without Army having a passing attack and Army still ran over that arse.
Bama has a vertical game as well as a ground game.
So yeah, OU will score points but not as many as Bama. I look for Bama to chew up clock and keep Murray on the sideline as much as possible. Then if OU has to rely on passing with no ground game, the Bama D will Tee off on Murray.
